“And the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” Genesis 1:2

From the genesis of time, the Spirit of God has been hovering. He helps us in our weakness. He convicts, He counsels, He guides. He intercedes for us when we do not know what to pray for.

Beyond the daily practical privilege of reaching out to the poor and needy across our 5 Branches, we have the heavenly privilege of praying for those in need. On just one day last week, 27 profound prayer needs were circulated across our Tree of Life Prayer Team. Here’s just a small insight:

 

From Leesburg: “we are starting over & don’t have anything, not even a bed.”

From Purcellville: “money is scarce and I am afraid that I may be separated from my children.”

From Sterling: “currently fighting breast cancer, looking for a church to attend with my children.”

 

The same Spirit of God who hovered over the waters at the beginning of time is alert and responsive to our prayers today.
