January 2025 Newsletter
THANK YOU!
We are beyond grateful for the support of this community throughout 2024. Your commitment and generousity have allowed us to serve those in need, reaching out with the love of Christ, and see lives transformed.
Even in the last days of 2024, we saw an outpouring of support that was inspiring. You’ve helped us to reach our fundraising goal and made an impact that will continue to bless this Ministry and the community well into 2025. Thank you so very much!
Praying that you experience all the riches of His blessings in this new year!
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13
Western Loudoun Community Christmas Event
We held our Community Christmas event in Western Loudoun at Purcellville Baptist Church.
We were so blessed to be able to welcome a crowd of 100 to enjoy the Still Waters puppet show, an interactive nativity play, and delicious holiday dinner. After all the festivities, each family was able to leave with gifts for both children and adults!
It was a beautiful night filled with Christmas spirit and so many smiles.
A huge thank you to the wonderful volunteers, donors, and church community that helped make this event a success!
Eastern Loudoun Community Christmas Event
Our Community Christmas event in Eastern Loudoun was held at Grace Covenant Church in Sterling.
We were so happy to host 66 people and enjoy a nativity play, dessert, and crafts. Gifts were provided to 48 children and teens! 20 volunteers from Grace Covenant did an amazing job making the guests feel welcomed, sharing the gospel, and spreading the spirit of Christmas.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible through giving your time and treasure to support those in need in our community!
Day Break Community Christmas
Our Day Break Ministry for senior adults was very busy in December, spreading Christmas Cheer!
Thanks to so many community donations, we were able to bless more than 170 local seniors with special gifts! We even hosted a Christmas sing-a-long and gift exchange at Spring Arbor, handed out gifts at Loudoun Nursing and Rehab, brought our Still Waters Puppet Show to Heritage Hall, and provided gifts at the Carver Center Christmas Party.
Thank you to everyone that helped make this a special season for local senior adults!
Still Waters Community Christmas
Nobody has more Christmas Spirit than our Still Waters Ministry! This year our Christmas Ball was bigger than ever!
So many new and familiar faces came out to Purcellville Baptist Church to enjoy music, dancing, dinner, and the big man himself – SANTA!
We are so blessed to able to serve the disabilities community and experience the true joy of this season with them!
Keep the Shelves Stocked!
There is no better time to start a resolution of GIVING BACK in 2025…
January and February are some of the hardest months to keep our pantry shelves stocked. You can make a huge difference by picking up and donating a few items for your local pantry every week.
Each of our pantries shares a list weekly, both on social media and on our website, so you can be sure you are getting the most needed items for your community.
You can even ORDER ONLINE! Get all the info on our Food Pantry page using the button below and be sure to follow us on social media!

WHAT’S NEW IN 2025?
As the NEW YEAR begins, some make NEW resolutions and some have NEW plans. Is there anything else NEW that we should be asking God about?
Yes! I desire to ask God for A NEW ATTITUDE!
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24
If I have a new attitude, God will give me a NEW OUTLOOK on life. I will be less stressed and more relaxed, because stress is something I feel when I try to control the world around me instead of lifting it to God.
With a new attitude, I realize there is a NEW WAY to live my life. Jesus is the “new and living way opened for us…” (Hebrews 10:20).
With a new attitude, I have NEW LIFE. Jesus was “raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, [so that] we too may live a new life” ( Romans 6:4).
With a new attitude, I will be living by a NEW COMMAND. “I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining” (1 John 2:8).
May the Lord bless you with HIS NEW ATTITUDE through HIS NEW WAY, creating HIS NEW LIFE in you, and walking with you in HIS NEW COMMAND.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
May you be blessed,
Chaplain Wayne Ruckman
